Sancon Commissioning invests in Ronald McDonald House Charities’ Lakeland Charity Golf Classic its third consecutive year

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Alberta is a vital organization that provides essential support to families facing the challenge of having a seriously ill or injured child. With almost 70% of Canadian families living outside of a community with a children's hospital, many must travel long distances to access specialized medical treatment. RMHC Alberta serves more than 1,100 families, providing over 21,000 nights of comfort in 2022 alone.

Additionally, RMHC Alberta offers Home for Dinner meals, shuttle services, recreation and self-care programming, and more, saving families over 8.5 million dollars each year.

Having a Ronald McDonald House close to a hospital in Alberta is an integral part of family-centered care. It helps alleviate the tremendous emotional, financial, and physical burdens families face when their child is seriously sick or injured. The Houses not only provide a place to rest but also serve as a supportive environment where families can come together, share experiences, and support each other.
